Dido and Aeneas
Students in Collegium and Chamber choir present English Baroque composer Henry Purcell's 1689 work, Dido and Aeneas.
Based on Roman myth, this is the story of the tragic love between Dido, queen of Carthage, and Aeneas, a Trojan prince in exile after the fall of Troy. When supernatural forces call Aeneas away from his idyll with Dido to pursue his destiny as the future founder of the nation of Rome, Dido dies from grief.

Monday Night Jazz - Masmoudi Quartette
When cultures meet in the music of the Masmoudi Quartette, the result is rather extraordinary. Jazz is infused with a rich interplay of Western and Middle Eastern instrumentation to create a tapestry of sound that is familiar and unexpected at the same time.
Group leader Mohamed Masmoudi originally hails from Tunisia, and his music incorporates influences from a lifetime devoted to study, travel and performance. His works are known for a melodic richness and multifaceted texture. A sampling of the Masmoudi playbook is a stroll through moods and landscapes, from the sprightly “Labyrinthe” to the sultry “Moorish Tango.”
Masmoudi is joined by Guillame Martineau (piano), Gabriel Paquin-Buki (clarinet) and Rémi-Jean Leblanc (double bass).
Audiences will be intrigued by a mosaic of classical, jazz, and world music quite unlike any other.
