UCalgary Wind Ensemble & Symphonic Band Join the UCalgary Wind Ensemble & Symphonic Band for an evening of music with a rich and diverse program, ranging from classic symphonic masterpieces to contemporary wind ensemble compositions.

Noted for their precision and dynamic spectrum, the UCalgary Wind Ensemble has been delighting audiences with their unique aptitude to animate music. Known for their robust tonality and emotive depth, the UCalgary Symphonic Band delivers captivating performances that navigate the vast landscape of symphonic music.

Verismo Verismo is a Calgary-based jazz quintet formed in 2002 by saxophonists Jeremy Brown and Pat Belliveau to explore the creative possibilities of two tenor saxophones. Verismo recorded a national radio program for the CBC and released a CD recording in 2006. The quintet was invited to play at the 2007 Montreal Jazz Festival, the first Calgary band to appear there in over twenty years. For several years, Versimo played at UCalgary convocations, clubs, and was sponsored by an anonymous local patron to perform at area schools. After a hiatus of several years, Versimo has returned to performing, and is excited to perform on the Monday Night Jazz series with John DeWaal, drums, Stefano Valdo, bass, Derek Stoll, piano, and Pat Belliveau and Jeremy Brown, saxophones.
